A client approached us with a vintage double utility sink she purchased off facebook marketplace with a dream to convert this in her bathroom as an artist utility work sink. We came up with the idea to add a nice base to raise the sink a bit to avoid moving the existing plumbing. The base consists of a nice storage area for pails, rags and such. Since this vintage sink had old drain holes, we needed to modernize it with newer push in drain plugs. Backsplash was added to secure a modern faucet and hold other items needed as well. Everything was constructed at our shop for less mess on client’s site. Once constructed, we moved and installed onsite, hooked up the existing plumbing with ease. The vintage double utility sink looks great with current bathroom colors and is now convenient for the artist to clean up her supplies in her lower level of the house. No more trekking up the stairs with messes to the upstairs laundry room sink as in the past. Also, we installed new vinyl wood grain flooring in this basement hallway. The artist client is extremely happy with her vintage double utility sink and new flooring that adjoins to art studio room.
